About the Event

About Event Join us for an evening of talks and networking focused on real-time data infrastructure, low-latency data processing, and modern data and AI-native architectures on AWS. Held alongside the AWS Summit Washington, DC, the Real-Time Data on AWS meetup is co-hosted by RisingWave and AWS and brings together a select group of Summit attendees who are interested in building scalable, low-latency data systems on AWS. The meetup will feature sessions from AWS, RisingWave, and industry leaders in real-time data, analytics, and AI, covering topics across streaming data, real-time analytics, data infrastructure, and AI infrastructure. Each session will include live discussions and Q&A, followed by a networking reception with food and drinks. Together, we’ll explore how modern streaming architectures and AWS technologies enable organizations to build real-time data and AI applications in today’s cloud-native and AI-native landscape. Agenda 6:30 – 7:00 PM | Welcome, Networking & Refreshments Check-in, food, drinks, and networking with fellow Summit attendees and speakers. 7:00 – 8:00 PM | Speaker Sessions Streaming-first Approach to Iceberg with RisingWave Rayees Pasha — CPO at RisingWave This session will provide an overview on the technical challenges of providing a new Iceberg Table engine purpose-built for streaming workloads. The talk will highlight how our team has built end-to-end key capabilities for Iceberg table management, including Iceberg's merge-on-read query, Serverless Compaction and Iceberg table sharing to allow direct queries from other engines. A key feature in this project is the native Iceberg compaction service written in Rust using Apache DataFusion and Apache Iceberg-Rust as foundational components. From AI Models to Intelligent Systems: Building the Real-Time Intelligence Layer Manish Devgan — Product & AI Leader | Former KX SVP & Hazelcast CPO AI models are only one component of an intelligent system. The real challenge is connecting AI to live data, business processes, and operational decisions in a way that is timely, governed, and scalable. In this session, we'll explore how organizations move beyond isolated AI initiatives to build systems that continuously learn, reason, and act. Using lessons from capital markets, we'll examine the real-time architectural foundations that make operational AI possible. Design and Scale Real-time Data Architecture for Agentic AI Applications on AWS Fei Lang — Principal Partner Solution Architect, Data & AI GTM, AWS In this session, we'll explore how to design and scale real-time streaming architectures that give AI agents the context, memory, and feedback loops they need to drive real outcomes on AWS. 8:00 – 8:30 PM | Networking Reception Continue conversations with speakers, AWS Summit attendees, and the broader real-time data community.
