About the Event

Sponsored by Google's DeepMind Team, we introduce you to:

Build with Gemma: Triage In Light Speed is a fast-paced, 1-day in-person hackathon where you will use Google DeepMind’s open Gemma models to build intelligent, rapid-response AI applications. We are moving past standard text bots; we want you to build highly responsive tools, multimodal systems, or autonomous agents capable of navigating extreme, time-sensitive environments.

💰 Prizes

$2,000 USD in cash prizes (managed and distributed directly via Kaggle / Payoneer)

🏎️ Choose Your Track

To accommodate different interests and technical skill sets, participants can choose from three distinct Themes:

🏥 Track 1: Clinical Triage (Healthcare under Pressure)

In the emergency room, seconds save lives. Build Gemma-powered systems that help healthcare workers prioritize patients, parse complex medical histories instantly, or automate diagnostic decision-support under extreme clinical constraints.

Ideal for: AI agents, RAG on medical documentation, and localized clinical assistant tools.

🚀 Track 2: Trajectory & Orbit (Deep Space Navigation)

Deep space exploration offers zero margin for error. Build tools that assist mission control or spacecraft systems in real-time telemetry analysis, orbital anomaly detection, or autonomous navigation when communicating with Earth is delayed.

Ideal for: Multimodal vision tools, predictive math/science physics assistants, and edge-deployed models.

🏁 Track 3: Pit Lane Telemetry (Formula 1 Strategy)

With hundreds of data points streaming from an F1 car every second, race engineers must predict tire degradation, engine thermals, and overtaking windows instantly. Build Gemma applications that turn raw telemetry streams into winning race strategies.

Ideal for: Function calling agents, real-time predictive analytics, and conversational crew-chief interfaces.
