Members will gather in New York for an intimate fireside conversation with Kiran Alvi, award winning journalist and documentary producer who spent years reporting across North Africa and the Middle East before helping build Zeteo, one of independent media's most talked about companies.

From freelance reporting in Tunisia to producing Mehdi Hasan's UpFront and Head to Head, Kiran's path offers a rare look at what it takes to report from the frontlines and then step into building the business behind the story.

The conversation will explore:

About Kiran

Kiran Alvi is an award winning multimedia journalist and documentary producer, and a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. Her work has appeared with the BBC, NPR, Al Jazeera English, Quartz and Nile TV International. She produced Mehdi Hasan's interview shows UpFront and Head to Head at Al Jazeera English before moving into long form documentary and film. Today she is part of Zeteo, where she has shifted from journalism into production and business management.
