About the Event

Join Dan Fox, Elliott Spina and Polina Gaiduk for a practical and empowering self-defense experience designed specifically for women. This workshop combines highly effective martial arts techniques with inner confidence work to help you build real-world skills and a stronger sense of personal power. Through guided drills and partner scenarios, you will learn how to respond in a variety of situations while training your body and nervous system to stay clear, grounded, and decisive under pressure. In addition to physical techniques, we will address the internal barriers that often arise around self-defense — including hesitation, fear, past experiences of being bullied, overpowered, or feeling unable to respond. Participants will be supported in working through resistance or trauma that may surface, within a safe and supportive environment. Our intention is to help you move beyond past patterns, strengthen your presence and boundaries, and develop the confidence to carry yourself with certainty in any situation. What you’ll gain • Practical martial arts and self-defense skills • Increased awareness and situational confidence • Tools to regulate your nervous system under stress • Stronger boundaries and assertive presence • A supportive space to move through fear, resistance, or past experiences Instructors Dan Fox — MMA instructor at Fighting Arts Collective with over a decade of experience in Muay Thai, No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu, and Boxing, focused on pressure-testing skills in safe environments. Dan's work is informed by over a decade of experience with plant medicines, the teachings of Carlos Castaneda as well as the Sufi tradition. Elliott Spina — Holistic Health Coach, biohacker, and Shotokan Karate black belt, integrating physical training with personal development and self-inquiry. Polina Gaiduk — Trauma-Informed Neuro-Somatic Movement Guide, Elementalist, and Energy Alchemist. Rooted in ancient Nordic wisdom, she integrates nervous system science with embodied healing to help women reclaim their instincts, resilience, and inner strength while offering a grounded, trauma-aware presence. ***Guest Instructor will be coming to share her journey in Martial Arts as well as cover some technique*** ***Light refreshments will be provided by our Powerhouse Triple Team of Chez Renée, Mama's Haus and Elva!*** @chezreneeto @_mamashaus @homebyelva Location: Saturday, April 18th 2026 - 2-6PM Pluto – 60 Sumach St, Toronto All experience levels welcome.
